WASHINGTON (7News) — A Code Red Air Quality Alert has been issued for the District for Sunday, July 5, as officials warn of unhealthy air conditions across the region.

The alert means the general public may begin to experience health effects from elevated pollution levels, while older adults, children, and people with asthma or other respiratory conditions could face more serious impacts.
