2 charged in Southeast DC armed robbery

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Two men were arrested on Friday in connection with a Southeast D.C. armed robbery, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD)

Police said 22-year-old Jonathan Johnson and 24-year-old Laron Plowden were charged with armed robbery (gun). Plowden was additionally charged with a separate armed robbery that occurred on July 3.

According to police, officers responded at 9:15 p.m. on Friday to reports of an armed robbery in the 3000 block of Stanton Rd. SE.
