Though we still have not been able to confirm the identity of Burnt Jacket Mountain’s new owner, there have been some developments on our local mountain of mystery since our last article.
A non-residential building permit RP-3313 was issued by LUPC on June 25 2025. The permit was for CMP’s installation of poles and wires within 60 feet of Lily Bay Road, adjacent to Burnt Jacket Road, to bring power into the property and allow construction of a 12,651-foot long, 3-foot-wide underground utility line extension to provide “power and communications services” to structures on the property.
