A Silver Spring woman who says she rarely buys scratch-off tickets is celebrating a $50,000 Maryland Lottery win after deciding to try her luck during a stop at a Hyattsville convenience store.
According to MD Lottery, the Montgomery County resident purchased a $20 100X the Cash scratch-off at the 7-Eleven at 3737 Hamilton Street in Hyattesville in mid-July. She put the ticket in her purse and headed home before discovering that she had won $50,000.
