WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The “Blue” sculpture stationed outside of the Kennedy Center is scheduled to be removed on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, Sept. 2, the National Park Service (NPS) will implement a temporary closure, blocking off several lanes along the Rock Creek and Potomac Parkway, sparking traffic delays in the area.
The closures are slated to begin at 6 a.m. and last until around 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Kevin Griess with the NPS noted that the times are scheduled to change based on the schedule of the statue removal.
