Person seriously hurt after falling off I-495 beltway overpass in Kensington

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A person was hospitalized after falling from the I-495 beltway overpass in Kensington Sunday night, according to the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS).

Firefighters said crews responded around 7:15 p.m. to reports of an injured person in the area of Stony Brook Dr. and Beach Dr. near the beltway overpass. There, the person was taken to the hospital with traumatic injuries.

According to the Montgomery County Department of Police, Stoneybrook Dr. and Beach Dr. on the I-495 outer loop at the Connecticut Avenue exit are closed until further notice.
