DC police arrest 17-year-old for attempted robbery in 2022

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — D.C. police officers arrested a second teenager for an attempted robbery in 2022.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said that officers arrested a 17-year-old boy from Northwest D.C. and charged him with robbery.

MPD said that the victim was walking in the 1200 block of North Capitol St. NW around 2:45 p.m. on Dec. 9, 2022. Several suspects walked up to him and assaulted him, trying to take his belongings.

The suspects ran away without taking anything.

Police had arrested and charged a 14-year-old boy for the attempted robbery that same day.
