Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) responded early Wednesday morning to a fatal house fire in the 9100 block of Charred Oak Drive in Bethesda.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, crews encountered heavy fire conditions throughout a two-story split-level home upon arrival.
One occupant was rescued from the residence and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A second occupant was located inside the home after an extensive search and was pronounced dead at the scene, after being unable to escape the smoke and flames…
