MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — Montgomery County police warned Thursday about a growing and dangerous trend involving groups of teenagers riding electric bikes through busy streets in downtown Bethesda, prompting numerous calls from concerned residents.
Police said the riders — some as young as 13 — gathered late Wednesday afternoon in the heart of the business district, many on ebikes and electric dirt bikes. Officers responded after being flooded with complaints about reckless behavior on the road.
