Teen boy injured after broad-daylight shooting in DC’s Bellevue neighborhood

WASHINGTON (7News) — A teen boy was rushed to the hospital after being shot in Southwest D.C. on Friday, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said.

Officers were called to the 4600 block of Martin Luther King Jr Avenue SW in the Bellevue neighborhood around 12:17 p.m. for the shooting. They found the teen with a gunshot wound.

He was conscious and breathing before being taken to the hospital, where he is now being treated for non-life threatening injuries. MPD has not issued a lookout for any suspects at this time…
