BELLE GLADE, Fla. (CBS12) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 20 alleged gang members tied to a violent Belle Glade-based criminal enterprise following a yearlong racketeering investigation known as “Operation Shark Bait.”
PBSO Violent Crimes Division Captain Michael Ott said detectives targeted the gang “Nawf Way,” also known as the “Sharks,” which investigators say has operated out of Belle Glade since at least 2020.
More than 200 law enforcement officers from PBSO, the FBI, the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office, and the State Attorney’s Office took part in coordinated raids last Thursday across Palm Beach and Hendry counties…
