WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A downtown West Palm Beach landmark with roots stretching back to the Prohibition era is now facing an uncertain future, as Roxy’s Pub and its Clematis Street properties head to a sheriff’s auction.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has scheduled an online sale for Tuesday targeting two parcels tied to the longtime bar — an establishment that reportedly dates back to 1933 and has spent nearly a century as a fixture of the city’s nightlife, according to its history.
While it’s now become a fixture of Clematis Street the bar was located at the northwest corner of Dixie Highway and Okeechobee Blvd. before the 1990’s
