$20k in silver vanishes in 14 minutes at Wellington UPS Store, deputies say

WELLINGTON, Fla. (CBS12) — An interception at a Wellington UPS store has resulted in a man facing accusations of stealing a valuable shipment of silver worth over $20,000, leaving the rightful owner empty-handed.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, on March 26, the victim purchased 300 one-ounce silver rounds from Cloud Resources in Georgia for $20,200 and arranged for them to be shipped to a UPS Store in Wellington.

The probable cause affidavit states that the package containing the silver arrived at the UPS store on May 13. Approximately 14 minutes later, a man entered the store, provided an employee with the package’s tracking number, and left with the package after showing his driver’s license…
