Boynton Beach police, K-9s help capture suspect accused of dragging FHP trooper

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — The Boynton Beach Police Department assisted the Florida Highway Patrol after one of its troopers was dragged down the road while attempting to conduct a traffic stop.

At approximately 4 p.m. Sunday, FHP asked BBPD for assistance with a traffic stop involving a suspect who had an active burglary warrant. FHP told the police department that during the stop, the suspect dragged a state trooper down the road, crashed the vehicle and fled on foot on North Congress Avenue.
