Man charged in 100+ mph Boynton Beach I-95 crash that killed 92-year-old woman, FHP says

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A West Palm Beach man has been charged with vehicular homicide after Florida Highway Patrol investigators said he was driving more than 100 mph before a crash that killed a woman on Interstate 95 in Boynton Beach.

Guy Augustin, 22, was arrested June 10 on one count of vehicular homicide in the death of Martha Gutierrez, according to a warrant arrest affidavit. His bond was set at $100,000, and he must wear a GPS monitor if released on bond.

The crash happened about 9:45 p.m. Oct. 8 on southbound I-95, about one-tenth of a mile south of Gateway Boulevard, investigators said. Gutierrez, 92, was taken to Delray Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 11:22 p.m., according to the affidavit…
