WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Trader Joe’s is bringing its signature charm and plenty of fan-favorite snacks to West Palm Beach, adding another convenient stop for shoppers already familiar with the brand across Palm Beach County.
The popular neighborhood grocery chain is opening its first location in the city on Friday, June 12, at 8111 S. Dixie Highway, at the corner of South Dixie Highway and Gregory Road. Doors opened at 9 a.m., and the team is ready to welcome its first customers.
The new store spans just over 9,400 square feet and represents the latest expansion for Trader Joe’s in South Florida. It becomes the company’s 28th location in Florida and its first in West Palm Beach. Nearby stores in Palm Beach Gardens and Wellington have already developed loyal followings, and the new location gives local residents another, closer option.
As with all Trader Joe’s stores, the West Palm Beach location has a strong local focus. More than 60 crew members were hired from surrounding communities, and 15 employees transferred from nearby stores. The goal is to create a friendly, neighborhood feel from the moment customers walk in…
