Woman escapes captivity after WPB dentist used Taser, fired gun at her

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A Palm Beach County dentist is facing multiple felony charges after authorities say he held a woman captive during a violent, hours-long domestic incident that ended with her escape and his arrest.

According to an arrest report from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, deputies took 63-year-old Sergey Korol into custody on June 21, following allegations of false imprisonment, aggravated battery, aggravated assault with a firearm, and other related charges. Korol is listed as a dentist at Dr. Sergey Korol, located at 2315 S Dixie Highway.

Investigators say the incident began the morning of June 20 and continued into the next day at the couple’s home. The victim told deputies the situation escalated after the two had been drinking and discussing ongoing domestic issues. She reported that Korol’s behavior became increasingly erratic, with sudden mood changes that included accusations of infidelity and threats of violence.

During the ordeal, the victim said Korol used a Taser on her multiple times, struck her, and choked her. She also alleged that she was tied to a chair and later to a bed using rope and straps, with some restraint placed around her neck.
