Wellington To Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday With Three Days Of Community Events July 2-4

Residents and visitors are invited to join patriotic festivities, live entertainment, family activities and fireworks when the Village of Wellington hosts Wellington Celebrates America 250, a three-day series of patriotic events taking place July 2 through July 4 in honor of the nation’s 250th anniversary.

As communities across the country commemorate this historic milestone, Wellington will participate in America’s Block Party — the largest synchronized Fourth of July celebration in U.S. history — through a weekend of live entertainment, family-friendly activities and patriotic celebration.

The festivities begin on Thursday, July 2, with Thursday Nights in Wellington x America 250 Celebration at the Wellington Amphitheater (12100 W. Forest Hill Blvd.). Attendees can enjoy more than 18 food trucks, 35 market vendors and two live tribute performances. The evening features “The Bruce: A Bruce Springsteen Tribute” at 6 p.m., followed by “Homegrown: The Zac Brown Band Experience” at 7:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets for lawn seating…
