Delray Beach To Celebrate July 4th With Fireworks And Drones

At 6 p.m., organizers will raise a 60-foot American flag at Atlantic Avenue and Seabreeze Avenue, accompanied by a singing of the National Anthem. Drivers should plan ahead: East Atlantic Avenue will be closed from the Intracoastal Bridge east to A1A, and A1A will be closed from Thomas Street to Miramar Drive, both from noon to 11 p.m. on July 4.

The day kicks off well before the evening festivities. A “4’s on the 4th” volleyball tournament runs from 8 a.m. to noon at the south end of the municipal beach, while the Delray Beach Rotary and Kiwanis clubs host a sand sculpting contest in the same window, with judging set for 11 a.m. Snorkelers and scuba divers can also book guided tours of the S.S. Inchulva, known locally as the “Delray Wreck,” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., though spots are limited and swimmers must be comfortable in open water.

Live music and entertainment take over the main stage from 6:30 to 9 p.m., while the band Digital Vibez performs on the East Road Stage during the same stretch. Fireworks light up the sky promptly at 9 p.m. to close out the celebration. Beachgoers looking for more summer fun can also mark their calendars for “Delray in the Sky,” a drone light show set for July 29 at Old School Square…
