Thousands celebrate Juneteenth with parade in Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Thousands celebrated Juneteenth this morning in Wichita with a parade featuring marching bands, youth groups, steppers, classic cars and more.

For the past week all across the country and here in Wichita, people have been celebrating Juneteenth. Juneteenth is the day that African-American slaves in Texas found out they were free in 1865.
