Here’s some not-so-sweet news for fans of The Sweet Spot, the restaurant at 7703 E. Douglas.
On Wednesday evening, the restaurant shared a video on its Facebook page and other social media channels indicating that the restaurant would close for good at the end of business on Sunday. The video showed head chef Preston Darnell walking out of the front doors of the restaurant.
“Thank you for coming out and dining with us and sharing your experiences and your special occasions, wedding proposals, anniversaries, birthdays,” he said in the video. “We truly had a wonderful time serving you and being part of your experience.”
