WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Wichita School District is reminding parents and students about a change coming this school year: a bell-to-bell ban on personal devices.
District leadership held a press conference on Tuesday to break down the policy and answer questions.
Loren Hatfield, the district’s chief of schools, explained that students will have to store their personal devices, including cell phones, smartwatches and laptops, in a secure location away from themselves. The location will vary, depending on what is available in each building.
