Blistering summer heat continues in Wichita, with a week of afternoons and early evenings soaring past 100 degrees.
The high temperatures have central Kansas under an Excessive Heat Warning, and the National Weather Service describes the warmest part of the days as dangerously hot.
“It will remain hot over the upcoming week with highs over 100 in most locations,” NWS Wichita said. “Dangerous afternoon and early evening heat indices of 105-110 are possible at times.”
