WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – It’s a mild start to the day, with a few storms possible east of I-135 this morning as a weak cold front dips south. Highs across the state will range from the 70s and 80s in northern and western Kansas and 90s in southern Kansas.
It is a Weather Alert Day for Wichita/south central Kansas for the risk of severe storms this evening and overnight. A couple of factors could limit storm coverage this evening: how many storms we have this morning and where the cold front stalls. Any storm that becomes severe will be capable of large hail, damaging winds, heavy rain, and lightning.
Sunday will be dry and hotter with decreasing clouds and temperatures climbing into the mid and upper 90s across the state. Winds will become gusty both Sunday and Monday…
