Here’s some “juicy” news.
Jersey Mike’s Subs, the popular sub chain whose sandwiches are topped with an oil-and-vinegar dressing nicknamed “the juice,” is about to add another restaurant in Wichita.
This one will be owned by original Wichita Jersey Mike’s franchisee Chris Stong, whose father, Neal, famously owned the NuWay chain. The new Jersey Mike’s will take over the only vacant spot in the strip center west of Central and Hillside that also is home to a Starbucks, a SportClips and a Patterson Legal Group office. The space previously was occupied by a tanning salon.
The new restaurant, which Stong said he hopes to have open around Thanksgiving time, will be Wichita’s fifth Jersey Mike’s. Stong also has the restaurant at 2564 N. Greenwich — the first Wichita Jersey Mike’s when it opened in 2020 — and at 2616 N. Maize Road. He also owns the Derby location…
