DERBY, Kan. (KWCH) – The Derby Fire Department said a child was a hit by a vehicle Tuesday morning while using a crosswalk inside a school zone near Derby Hills Elementary.
“Thankfully, the child’s injuries do not appear to be severe or life-threatening,” the fire department said. “Today’s incident is a reminder of just how quickly something can happen and why extra caution in our school zones is so important.”
