Taylor Swift makes $100K donation to family of woman killed at Chiefs’ parade

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Music star Taylor Swift has made a $100,000 donation to the family of a woman killed at the Chiefs’ parade and rally on Wednesday . The shooting injured another 22 people.

Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a host of “Taste of Tejano” at KKFI-FM was killed when shots were fired outside Union Station just after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl celebration had ended. She is a mother of two.

Lopez-Galvan, whose DJ name was “Lisa G,” was an extrovert from a prominent Latino family in the area, said Rosa Izurieta and Martha Ramirez, two childhood friends who worked with her at a staffing company.

So far, Lopez-Galvan’s GoFundMe has raised just over $186,000. Approximately 1,700 people have made donations to Lopez-Galvan’s family through the fundraiser, according to the site.

Swift wrote the following note after making two $50,000 donations, saying, “Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift.”
