Inside the Wichita Biomedical Campus, a $300 million work in progress

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Wichita Biomedical Campus has been in the works for several years and is nearing completion. Leaders hope it will help position Kansas as a destination for healthcare education and career opportunities.

The $300 million campus — designed by Helix Architecture + Design and CO Architects — will be an eight‑story, 350,000‑square‑foot facility featuring a three‑story pavilion, classrooms, labs, a student success center, lounges and study spaces, offices, and meeting rooms.

The campus will serve students from Wichita State University, WSU Tech and the University of Kansas, with each institution occupying designated floors. Levels two through five will be primarily, if not entirely, dedicated to WSU.
