WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – It is a much colder morning across Kansas with wake-up temperatures in the 40s and 50s. However, when you factor in the gusty northeast winds it feels even cooler. Temperatures will not move much today with highs generally in the 50s, or 25 to 30 degrees lower than Monday.
Another weather maker will move across the state later today, tonight, and Wednesday, and while most of Kansas will see a cold rain, a rain and snow mix (or all snow) is possible across the northwest corner of the state. Any accumulation will be slushy, light, and mainly on grassy areas. However, farther west into Colorado, the snow will be heavier and difficult travel along I-70 cannot be ruled out.
As the sun returns later this week, so do warmer temperatures. Near normal highs in the lower to middle 70s on Thursday will be followed by lower 80s on Friday. Both days will also be dry with relatively light winds…
