Kansas Supreme Court upholds Wichita man’s murder conviction but orders resentencing

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas Supreme Court on Friday upheld the conviction of a man who killed his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend.

But the justices ruled that Saul Valenciana of Wichita must be resentenced for the 2022 death of 41-year-old Brent Boone.

Boone disappeared on Thanksgiving, and his body was found a week later in a rural area southwest of Clearwater. He had been stabbed multiple times.
