Police Charge Kennett Square Man After Violent Altercation

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — A Kennett Square man faces multiple charges, including strangulation, following an alleged assault that police say occurred early Sunday morning in the borough.

According to the Kennett Square Police Department, officers responded at approximately 4:46 a.m. on June 7 to the 600 block of South Union Street for a reported altercation.

Police reported that their investigation determined a 23-year-old Kennett Square man, identified as Dider Sanchez-Lopez, allegedly assaulted a female victim during the incident. Investigators allege Sanchez-Lopez struck the victim in the face and stomach, threw her to the ground, pulled her hair, and grabbed her by the throat, causing difficulty breathing…
