Federal prosecutors say an engineering manager used confidential information about a nuclear restart to buy call options
WILMINGTON — A Wilmington man who worked as an engineering manager for a publicly traded energy company has been indicted on federal charges alleging he used confidential information about a nuclear reactor restart to make nearly $1.5 million in an insider trading scheme.
Casey Muggleston, 44, was charged by a federal grand jury with one count of securities fraud and four counts of insider trading, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Delaware announced Wednesday.
According to the indictment, Muggleston worked for an energy company that operates nuclear, hydroelectric, wind and solar generation facilities.
