The Delaware Marathon Running Festival is set to make history this weekend. With more than 700 participants signed up for the marathon race—and more than 2,600 participants in total across all races—this is set to be the biggest year ever for the event.
The Delaware Marathon course is a scenic route through some of Wilmington’s most iconic areas. Marathon runners will start at Tubman Garrett Riverfront Park and enjoy scenic views along the Christina River. Participants will run through a portion of the downtown district, around the beautiful Brandywine Hills neighborhoods, and along the popular Jack Markell Trail.
