At 1:02 p.m. on Saturday, the National Weather Service issued a freeze watch valid for Tuesday between midnight and 9 a.m. for Western Chester, Eastern Chester, Western Montgomery, Eastern Montgomery, Upper Bucks and Lower Bucks as well as Carbon, Monroe, Berks, Lehigh and Northampton counties.
The weather service informs, “Sub-freezing temperatures with lows in the 20s.”
“Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation,” describes the weather service. “A Freeze Watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible. These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.”
What to do if there is a freeze watch or warning
