Philly teen golfer to caddy for Delaware County pro at PGA Championship

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — A local teenager is making his debut at the PGA Championship in Delaware County this week, as a caddy. It’s the opportunity of a lifetime for the young student of the game, in a position usually reserved for seasoned vets.

Beau Riviere is a senior at Science Leadership Academy in Philadelphia. During a time where most kids his age are focused on prom and hanging out with friends, the Pennsylvania golf state champion is focused on caddying at the PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club.

“This is awesome,” he said. “I love playing golf. I love playing competitively, but getting to caddy is also such a great opportunity and really special, but I’m just grateful that I’m here.”…
