Loading door collapse at Delaware County supermarket injures 2 workers

ST. DAVIDS, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Two workers were hurt after the door to a supermarket loading garage collapsed in Radnor Township, Delaware County Tuesday morning.

Authorities said the call came in around 11:15 for the pair trapped at the Giant supermarket on Lancaster Avenue in St. Davids.

“Workers were working on the rollup door at the loading dock. Somehow they got trapped inside the rollup door, one partially trapped, one fully encapsulated inside there,” said Radnor Fire Chief Joseph Maguire.

Both men were extricated and taken to the hospital. Their conditions were not initially revealed…
