WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) -First responders from across the country are taking part in training on the campus of UNC Wilmington (UNCW) this week.
The UNCW Police Department is hosting a Basic Tactical Medical Instructor program at the Pat Leonard Student Recreation Center from Monday through Thursday, July 7-9. The program is being provided by the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.
Training exercises will take place behind the student recreation center each afternoon. Campus visitors and students may see police officers, emergency vehicles, and personnel participating in the exercises.
