WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Stay rested, hydrated, neighborly, and aware as First Alert Weather Days continue Thursday, Friday and Saturday. All three afternoons will feel like 102 to 112 and locally 116, and the sweltering air will fuel popup storms: strays on Thursday and Friday, and likely more widespread and potentially very heavy ones Saturday afternoon. From there, lingering rainclouds will support much more reasonable temps / feels likes in the 80s / 90s Sunday and Monday.
New drought numbers are in and they’re bad. Parts of Brunswick and southern Columbus counties are in level four / “exceptional” drought for the first time this century. pic.twitter.com/wUm5IaN551
