First Alert Forecast: more good opps for rain

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Amid a seasonably unsettled pattern, borderline First Alert Weather Days continue through midweek. Wednesday will start with scattered to numerous showers and storms; cells will gradually migrate inland in the afternoons and evenings. Flooding and severe storms aren’t especially likely, but it’s tough to rule them out completely, so please keep a general level of weather awareness and your WECT Weather App handy. Saltwater hazards like rip currents and waterspouts remain part of the conversation, too.

On temps: expect 70s / 80s midweek. 90s may mix late this week and next.

New tropical storms remain unlikely across the Atlantic Basin this week…
