OAK ISLAND, N.C. (WECT) – Oak Island Public Works plans to conduct mosquito fogging operations Tuesday and Wednesday in designated areas of the town and on the mainland.
Crews are scheduled to treat Zones 1 and 2 on Tuesday, Aug. 18, in areas west of E 40th Street. Zones 3 and 4 are scheduled for treatment Wednesday, Aug. 19, in areas east of E 41st Street and on the mainland.
Operations are expected to begin around 6 p.m. each day and will follow standards set by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the North Carolina Pesticide Board, officials said…
