WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, N.C. (WNCT) — Brock Davenport of Beaufort set a new North Carolina state record for the Jolthead Porgy after catching a 16-pound fish off Wrightsville Beach on August 9.
According to a press release, the 29.5-inch specimen was officially certified by the NC Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Marine Fisheries.
