Two teens charged after shots fired at Bojangles in Leland

LELAND, N.C. (WECT) – An 18-year-old who accidentally shot himself at a Leland Bojangles on Monday now faces town ordinance charges alongside another teenager, police said.

John Reid III, 18, and Scott Griffin, 19, have each been charged for discharging a firearm within town limits.

According to the Leland Police Department, officers responded to reports of shots fired at the fast food restaurant, located at 109 Village Road, around 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 7. Investigators with the department determined both Reid and Griffin had negligently fired weapons within town limits…
