NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Mystik Dan wasn’t the only big winner at the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby. Greg George, a former New Hanover County resident and co-owner of the Peach Cobbler Factory, LLC also walked away from Churchill Downs with a carriage of cash. George bet $4,000 on Mystik Dan and won $86,000. What’s even more mindboggling–he doesn’t plan to keep it.
