Several studies since 2010 have determined two of Brunswick County’s most traveled roads need some widening along other needs.
Safety and resiliency improvements to nearly 20-mile stretches along N.C. 133 and N.C. 87 are needed and have been requested for over a decade. Even with limited shoulder space and traffic congestion, the roads serve as major thoroughfares for thousands of people.
And while the studies have resulted in some work done, several recommendations remain on the table…
