Multiple agencies respond to 30-acre fire in Pender County

WILLARD, N.C. (WECT) – Fire crews are working to contain a woods fire burning near Pelham Road in Willard.

The fire covers approximately 30 acres, the Pender County Fire Marshal’s Office said Friday evening.

The North Carolina Forest Service, Pender EMS & Fire, Penderlea Volunteer Fire Department and the Pender County Fire Marshal’s Office are on scene.

No injuries have been reported, according to officials. The cause of the fire is under investigation…
