Two-week construction project will add speed humps to Burnett Boulevard

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Nine speed humps are coming to Burnett Boulevard as part of the City of Wilmington’s Vision Zero traffic-safety effort.

Beginning Monday, May 18, city crews will install the humps along Burnett Boulevard between Sunset Avenue and Virginia Avenue. The project is expected to take about two weeks.

During construction, crews will close one block at a time to through traffic. Drivers will see detour signs directing them to use Carolina Beach Road…
