WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Wilmington City Council heard from several residents’ Tuesday night about a proposed budget that includes a property tax increase of nearly 20 percent.
The $350 million proposed plan would raise the property tax rate from 28.25 cents to 34 cents per $100 of assessed property value.
