NBC 10 I-Team: Final report faults sheriffs, state for budget deficit in Massachusetts

(WJAR) — The Massachusetts Office of the Inspector General has released its final report on sheriffs’ budgets and expenditures, describing the budgeting system for the state’s 14 sheriff’s offices as “chaotic” and “deeply flawed.”

It also makes some specific recommendations regarding correctional facilities under the authority of the Bristol County sheriff.
