Lawsuit from Central Mass. mother says company’s negligence led to son’s highway death

A Princeton mother claims a foundation company’s negligence in overseeing the transportation of a crane led to it hitting and killing her son on a highway in 2023.

Donna Brisbois has filed a lawsuit against Hub Foundation Co. Inc., a Chelmsford foundation company that owned the crane that struck and killed her 25-year-old son.

On the morning of June 19, 2023, Jacob John Hamm Brisbois of Princeton was driving his motorcycle on Route 190 in Sterling when he pulled into the breakdown lane to rest, according to the lawsuit. At the same time, a tractor trailer carrying a crane owned by Hub was driving down the same highway. The right side of the crane’s track went into the breakdown lane and struck Brisbois, who had his hazard lights flashed on, the lawsuit reads. He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the lawsuit…
