Northborough PD seizes crack cocaine, fentanyl after vehicle search at hotel

NORTHBOROUGH – On May 26 at approximately 8:53 p.m., a Northborough Police Department officer pulled into the Northborough Inn, formerly known as the Econolodge, property and found a Ford Flex parked beside the hotel. A man, later identified as Juan Luciano, was placed under arrest.

A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted after a crack pipe was allegedly observed in plain view. A small aluminum “Squishmallows” tin was located which reportedly contained two corner-cut baggies; one was filled with a rocklike substance identified as crack cocaine, and the other baggie was filled with a purple powder identified as fentanyl, according to police reports.

A portable scale was also located, along with $259 in cash. The suspected crack cocaine weighed 19 grams, while the fentanyl weighed about 7 grams. Luciano had been found guilty of distributing Class A and Class B substances in January 2026…
